Cookies , cookies , cookies……..
I can’t stop thinking of them. Ok let me explain.I’ve always love cookies. Especially those fluffy , soft & buttery ones that you only buy at the bakery and you can’t bake them as many times as you try at home. It was always my goal to make the perfect cookies to enjoy with my morning coffee , and my afternoon coffee and generally with every single coffee i have every day.
I don’t even remember how many times i tried to make them just as i wanted them, soft, thick and full of melted milk chocolate chips.I’ve tested all the possible recipes and combinations until i found out the one and only recipe for those incredibly delicious soft cookies with the most buttery and tasteful dough ( i guess in not the only one that eats half the dough during cooking cookies ).
As the weather becomes more rainy and cold , its the most suitable time to post this classic cookies recipe to share with your friends or family ( or just share it with yourself) and enjoy with a glass of milk. Cookies are a good snack-desert for your kids so they can take them to school. Oh i forgot to mention , this chocolate chip cookies recipe is super easy and so you can have fresh cookies on your table every two or three days , it depends on how many you eat ( i won’t count how many i ate during this post because i will immediately need a gym class ).
Let’s go straight to the recipes instructions. Hope you like them too!!!!!

- 135 gr unsalted butter
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt ( i use himalayan salt at my recipes )
- 1 cup milk chocolate chocolate chips ( you can also try dark or white chocolate chips )
- Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C ) .Melt the butter in the microwave or in a small pan
- In a mixing bowl combine all dry ingredients
- Using a stand mixer beat the butter with the sugar until fluffy. Then add the egg and the vanilla and continue being for 15-20 seconds ( Do not over beat it )
- Add the dry ingredients and use your hands to make a really smooth dough that is not sticking to your fingers. Add the chocolate chips and mix with your hands or using a wooden spatula.
- Roll the dough into balls (you pick the size , i like medium ones ) and place them on a cooking sheet.
- Bake them 8-10 mins until golden brown. Then take them out of oven and let them rest for another 15 mins ( this will make the cookies super soft ).
